Several weeks ago we took the tour, A Perfect Morning in Tuscany, with our guide Stefan. We loved exploring and hiking in  Fiesole.  The hike through the woods was particularly beautiful and the lunch at the Villa at the end may have been the best meal we had on our visit.Stefan was a terrific guide and was so well versed in the history, and topography of this area.  He was charming and always mindful of our pace and those of our hiking companions. Thanks so much...we hope to explore more with you on our next trip.Stephanie and Stan CasperOrinda, California

Our tour guide was wonderful! Fantastico! He made the tour quite enjoyable despite the rain. We now have a better understading of Italian wine and food and are so happy! Thank youfor a great experience!

My father and I went on a wonderful Chianti Wine Castle tour with Heather to the Castle while we were in Firenze at the end of July.

I don't remember how I found you but it could have been through Rick Steves or Trip Advisor, as these were the most helpful sites I found.

My dad is 85 so taking a trip with too much walking in the countryside would not have worked for us but taking in one site was just perfect.

Heather, an art history major was very fun and knowledgeable and we had done our homework about the history of Firenze and the Medicis, so going to a location that was keen on our minds about the plot to kill one of them was exhilarating!!!

The opportunity to buy the wines we tasted and great olive oil was also perfect as we were able to ship them home and share them with our families.

We would recommend your tours highly for those who want a small group tour experience.

I just wanted to follow up and let you know my husband and I had a wonderful time on the bike tour through Florence and Tuscany. Our guide, Giuseppe was great and also very knowledgable.  It was the best tour we experienced our entire time in Italy.

Thank you,

Kendra Condon

My wife and I and our very best friends visited Venice and Florence from September 23 to the 29th.  We enjoyed every aspect of our trip. There was one highlight though that I just had to mention to you. We took your Best of Tuscany tour with Stephan.  First let me say the tour was terrific with all the beautiful sights we saw.  The Winery was wonderful.  There was one thing that made this tour even more special and that was our tour guide.  Stephan entertained us, informed us and made sure that we all had an experience that will provide memories to last a lifetime.

Thank you and special thanks to Stephan.

We could not have been more pleased with our Bike Tour, everything about it was fabulous.  The winery was truly beautiful and if we should decide in the future to stay out of the city it will be tops on our list of places to stay.  They also had the best white wine I’ve ever drank.  The restaurant was great food and very attentive service.  Of course, having the place all to ourselves was an added bonus.  We can’t say enough nice things about Giuseppe.  He was very informative, had a terrific personality, and made us feel very comfortable.  He went out of his way to accommodate us at our every request.

Thanks for a wonderful experience and on our next trip to Florence we will definitely be contacting your company.

Respectfully,

We want to thank you for a wonderful bike tour that was guided by Stefan. Out of the different bike tours we did this was by far the best one, and and a highlight of our trip to Tuscany.  It was a perfect blend of cycling exercise and history information.  Stefan was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and great fun.  We would definitely recommend a tour with Stefan to anyone.

Thanks again,

My husband and I did the Bike tour of Tuscany ourselves and we absolutely loved it.
The group was varied, the guide was lively, funny, and informative, and the entire day was just pain fun - great scenery, great food, a little introduction into the art of tasting wine (in an atmospheric setting, and some good exercise as well.  This tour had it all.  My husband says he would do the same tour again...

D. was a phenomenal tour guide and knew so much information and history about the region we toured. Of all the days we spent in Italy, 10 total, this by far was our favorite day.

Thanks so much.

You were recommended in the Rick Steves guidebook for Florence and Tuscany.
We took the "Best of Tuscany Tour" to San Gimignano, Siena and Montereggione (?) on Monday, July 13.  We have been trying to remember our guide's name, and believe it was Mike.  He was a charming young man, originally from Brazil, I believe, who spoke exceptional English.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day spent on tour.  The timing for the different activities was very good, as was the spacing.  Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable.  The lunch at the winery/farm was excellent - probably the best meal we had in Italy.  We would definitely recommend this tour - in fact, we already have!

We had a fantastic time.
It was the perfect amount of information and time alone and the lunch was out of this world.  Heather was fantastic - she gave us so much information and she was fun, too.  We would recommend your tours to anyone visiting the region.

We welcome the opportunity to share our experience with Art Viva.
We are the Silvestri family and we learned of your company through Google and Rick Steves.  Our tour, The Best of Tuscany was wonderful!  Stephan was our guide and he was very knowledgeable, energetic and fun. We loved his stories, his sense of humor and the way he engaged everyone on the tour to participate.  He also offered great suggestions and answered all our questions which was very helpful in enjoying the rest of our stay in Florence.  We would highly recommend your company to our friends and family and we would definitely utilize your company for future travel plans. Also, the highlight of the day was our trip to the winery and lunch, the food, the wine, and the beauty of the vineyards was amazing!

Thank you.We have told everyone that the highlight of our trip was your tour through Tuscany.  Stefan was a fabulous guide- very entertaining and didn't mind a bit that we could hardly find the bus after so many grappa toasts!  (Stefan remained the perfect host- insisting that we drink his share so that he could guide us back down the hill from lunch!) We heard of your company through Rick Steves and are very glad that we did. The hill towns were beautiful and listening to the stories and history that Stefan shared between stops made it all the more interesting.  We will definitely recommend your company and Stefan to our family and friends.

Best of Tuscany Trip was amazing, we had a wonderful time.
The tour had great history, cities, food, and other group members.  We totally enjoyed our time and my mom has told everyone that they have to take it.  Also, it was exactly as advertised!
Thanks.

I and my spouse had taken three of your tours in and from Florence earlier this month. Both of us enjoyed it a lot. Specifically we liked the "The Best of Tuscany Tour" an the "Florence in a day or two Tour". A special mention of the tour guides Stephan who accompanied us to San Giminano and Siena and Paul who was our guide for the walking tour and the uffizi. Stephan made the trip very lively and Paul was very informative. We are sure on our next trip to Italy we shall be needing your assistance again.

Regards,
Gayatri

Having spent two weeks in Italy and doing a few tours through different companies I must say Artviva surpassed any other tour organization.
Our guide was Stefan and from start to finish he was the most insightful, funny and charismatic tour guide I have had the pleasure of touring with. Not only was he informative about the sights visited he went out of his way to make sure we were informed about the do's and don'ts of Italy to maximize our experience not only for the day of the tour but for our entire vacation. The tour itself was great. Multiple city stops allowed us to see the what the Tuscan region had to offer. The winery stop was enjoyable and the meal provided was excellent. I would most certainly reccomend Artviva tours to anyone looking for a top notch experience. Thank You Artviva for making our vacation that much more memorable.

cooking class

I took the Cooking Class and Market tour (in San Lorenzo Market). It was awesome! The market had the most incredible fresh ingredients, and the most amazing seafood selection I have ever seen. The cooking class was extremely professional, and the lunch afterwards was great! I recommend this class for anyone.Mark

A truly life changing experience

Absolutely amazing.Words can hardly express how much we enjoyed our experience with ArtViva! From the minute we stepped in their lovely office, we felt attended, looked after and taken care of. The friendly staff advised us in detail of what would suit our tastes and knowledge best, and as they have so many beautiful tours to choose from, that help was very appreciated. Florence's cultural richness can be overwhelming, but relying on ArtViva made everything easy and utterly enjoyable for us.The small group walking tour of Florence exceeded all expectations. Our guide Paul was tremedous: a true Florence insider, with amazing knowledge of arts and culture, engaging story telling and great local tips you won't find in a guide book. The memories of the tour will stay with me and my sister for many many years. Booking with ArtViva is the best single thing you could do to have the ultimate Florence experience.Thank you, ArtViva.

Friendly and Knowledgable.

An essential part of visiting such an historical city as Florence is a smart, knowledgeable tour guide. Artvivas guides are fun, friendly and really know their stuff. Plus they know all those great places not on most guidebooks that only a passionate local world know. Dont even contemplate a visit to the Uffizi or Michaelangelos David without one!

Hightlight of Italian Trip

Thanks so much for the great walking tour we did in Florence in May. It was fun, informative and we were treated like VIPS! The guide made us feel welcome and got to know exactly what we were interested in seeing to make sure all was covered. If we had tried to do everything we did on the tour on our own, we would have spent days getting hopelessly lost! I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in the art, architecture, history and the culture of Florence.

Feels like you have hired a first-class guide from a first-class outfit – at a fraction of the price.

If you are the type to shy away from “packaged” tours, preferring to go it alone in a brand new city, Art Viva might just be your new BFF (best friend forever) when on tour in Florence. Comfortably small groups - instead of large crowds moving en-masse. Personalized insights by well-educated guides – instead of canned presentations. ArtViva’s walking tours are the next best thing to hiring a private art historian to walk you around this fabulous city – at a fraction of the price. Their 3-hour walking introduction to Florence’s history and a follow-up tour of the Uffizi dispelled all my preconceptions that tour groups were not for me. Even if you’ve been to Florence before, start your vacation off right in 3 quick hours. It will set the stage for a perfect stay.

Incredible!

My husband and I had the good fortune of taking ArtViva tours of Florence while on our honeymoon. We started with the walking tour, followed by the David tour. We were so impressed we immediately signed up for the Uffizi tour the next day. The guides we had (Sasha/Sylvia & Brenda) were all amazing; they were incredibly knowledgable, friendly and spoke perfect English. What was best was their genuine enthusiam and love of the arts and history of Florence; their excitment was contagious and inspired us to want to know and learn more! I couldn't have asked for a better experience.Brigitte Reynolds
