"Worth every Euro!”

Stefan was absolutely wonderful on the Best of Tuscany tour! Best tour and guide we had in Italy...by far! I wish I could have had him with us for our whole trip to Italy. He was very knowledgeable and made the tours fun, really enjoyable and worth every Euro! My favorite part was going to the winery/farm. The meal we had there was incredible! It was also very nice to be in such a small group for this tour.

We also really enjoyed Sylvia and her tour the Original Florence Walk. Very interesting to learn about the architecture and art in Florence. She was also a great guide and kept my interest which is very hard to do!

"Best of Tuscany and Florence -Just do it!!!!!!"

We can not say enough about this very friendly company. Due to a mix up over setting our clocks-put it down to jet lag! and a problem with a bus strike we turned up late for our morning tour and Uffizi tour the next day. No problems for the smiling Artviva young ladies in Florence who graciously took our rambling family to meet the already departed guides. Our guides caught us up in the break with what we missed.

Florence is a fascinating city and our guides Christine and Silvia just made it come alive for us. We loved the smallest bar we have ever seen, a cupboard sized hole in a wall where we stopped for a snack.

The best for us was the Best of Tuscany tour with Stephan with the wine, the lunch, views. He convinced us to do the Villa Swim tour as well.As our parents are elderly -we biked, they opted to be transfered directly to the villa. All highly recommended for young and old alike.

Artviva never made us feel unwanted, our questions about parking, restaurants, changing money, rest rooms, where to get medical attention, wheelchair hire (Mother not feeling too well), post offices (you get the idea!) ... were answered with a sense of humor and patience as I'm sure they must have heard most of our queries a million times before. Our guides always made sure my mother in her wheel chair for this part of out trip felt included in the tour.

Thank you Artviva you made what could have been a difficult stay in Florence not just a memorable experience but one we will all treasure.

"The Best of Tuscany Tour With a Small Group and Florence Tours"

The Best of Tuscany tour along with our other tours with Artviva were the  best of our 10 day long visit to Italy. The historical knowledge of our guides, the comfort of the vans and the drivers were all excellent. The day in the Tuscan three towns with Stefan our guide was ideal and the lunch at the vineyard beyond compare, with no hard sell for wine or olive oil. What made this tour great was the small group.

We took several other tours while in Rome and Florence and vowed never to take a tour with another company after our experience with this firm. It really made the difference for us, the small group v the big bus experience. I am a VERY fussy person and was more than VERY pleased.

I must also mention our Florence tours of the Uffizi gallery and the David tour with two other guides, Freya and Paul. Both tour guides were insightful and delightful company. I can highly recommend The Best of Tuscany tour and Artviva’s walking tours in Florence.

"Excellent tours, wonderful guides, the best!"

These tours helped us not only to enjoy Florence, but to get educated as well! We would highly recommend this organization to anyone who will be visiting Italy.

Our guide made the visit to the Uffizi outstanding with her knowledge and helped us to appreciate the art in a way we couldn't have on our own. Visiting the Castle with our Chianti Castle Wine Tour guide was like going with a friend.

cooking class

I took the Cooking Class and Market tour (in San Lorenzo Market). It was awesome! The market had the most incredible fresh ingredients, and the most amazing seafood selection I have ever seen. The cooking class was extremely professional, and the lunch afterwards was great! I recommend this class for anyone.Mark

A truly life changing experience

Absolutely amazing.Words can hardly express how much we enjoyed our experience with ArtViva! From the minute we stepped in their lovely office, we felt attended, looked after and taken care of. The friendly staff advised us in detail of what would suit our tastes and knowledge best, and as they have so many beautiful tours to choose from, that help was very appreciated. Florence's cultural richness can be overwhelming, but relying on ArtViva made everything easy and utterly enjoyable for us.The small group walking tour of Florence exceeded all expectations. Our guide Paul was tremedous: a true Florence insider, with amazing knowledge of arts and culture, engaging story telling and great local tips you won't find in a guide book. The memories of the tour will stay with me and my sister for many many years. Booking with ArtViva is the best single thing you could do to have the ultimate Florence experience.Thank you, ArtViva.

Friendly and Knowledgable.

An essential part of visiting such an historical city as Florence is a smart, knowledgeable tour guide. Artvivas guides are fun, friendly and really know their stuff. Plus they know all those great places not on most guidebooks that only a passionate local world know. Dont even contemplate a visit to the Uffizi or Michaelangelos David without one!

Hightlight of Italian Trip

Thanks so much for the great walking tour we did in Florence in May. It was fun, informative and we were treated like VIPS! The guide made us feel welcome and got to know exactly what we were interested in seeing to make sure all was covered. If we had tried to do everything we did on the tour on our own, we would have spent days getting hopelessly lost! I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in the art, architecture, history and the culture of Florence.

Feels like you have hired a first-class guide from a first-class outfit – at a fraction of the price.

If you are the type to shy away from “packaged” tours, preferring to go it alone in a brand new city, Art Viva might just be your new BFF (best friend forever) when on tour in Florence. Comfortably small groups - instead of large crowds moving en-masse. Personalized insights by well-educated guides – instead of canned presentations. ArtViva’s walking tours are the next best thing to hiring a private art historian to walk you around this fabulous city – at a fraction of the price. Their 3-hour walking introduction to Florence’s history and a follow-up tour of the Uffizi dispelled all my preconceptions that tour groups were not for me. Even if you’ve been to Florence before, start your vacation off right in 3 quick hours. It will set the stage for a perfect stay.

Incredible!

My husband and I had the good fortune of taking ArtViva tours of Florence while on our honeymoon. We started with the walking tour, followed by the David tour. We were so impressed we immediately signed up for the Uffizi tour the next day. The guides we had (Sasha/Sylvia & Brenda) were all amazing; they were incredibly knowledgable, friendly and spoke perfect English. What was best was their genuine enthusiam and love of the arts and history of Florence; their excitment was contagious and inspired us to want to know and learn more! I couldn't have asked for a better experience.Brigitte Reynolds
