Leo Mancini-Hresko
Leo Mancini-Hresko's paintings seem as if they come from another time period. Hauntingly beautiful paintings, meaningful brush strokes and an emphasis on contrast is what Mancini-Hresko works toward.
He currently teaches in Florence, both privately in his studio and also at the Florence Academy of Art.
Leo is will be working exclusively with us to showcase his artwork through our ArtViva Festival Evening events!
Leo Mancini-Hresko is a young artist- with a lot of experience. He grew up in Boston where he attended classes at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Rhode Island School of Design. In 2000, after his first year studying Fine Arts and Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Boston, he enrolled in a study abroad program through the Art Institute. Soon afterwards, he dropped his studies through Boston and decided to continue schooling in Florence permanently at Florence Academy.
Mancini-Hresko's paintings seem as if they come from another time period. Hauntingly beautiful paintings, meaningful brush strokes and an emphasis on contrast is what Mancini-Hresko works toward.
His passion for painting is obvious when he explains his thought process on artwork:
"No two inches of any picture should be treated the same. What always drew me to painting was the contrast between rough and smooth, harsh and subtle. That is where beauty is. I hope to draw the viewer in, to see the world a moment in the way I do."
Leo currently teaches in Florence, both privately in his studio and also at the Florence Academy of Art. He has exhibited throughout the United States and Europe, including exhibitions in Florence, London, Santa Fe, Nantucket, Dublin, and New York.
