Terms and Conditions at a Glance

Tour and service requests will not be accepted unless you agree to the following terms and conditions

A full refund is made if the tour or service is not available on the dates you request
 
Special Notes

Receipt of Email Confirmations
We will do our best to confirm via email with the email address contact you provide however we do not take responsibility for non receipt of emails. Please ensure your spam filter is not blocking emails from staff@artviva.com 

In case of non-receipt of an email confirmation
You must phone our company main office to confirm in a timely way if you have not received an email confirmation five days before your tour date. See our Florence office contact details 
 
Please Read Our Terms and Conditions Carefully
Note any extra terms or conditions that may appear with the tour or product descriptions, such as minimum numbers required to run tours and no child seats provided in tours requiring transport, weather limitations, etc

Photographic ID Required for all Participants for all Tours and Services
You must list the names of all participants and must bring along to the tour or service government approved photographic identification such as a passport. Participants can not undertake services and will not be accepted without approved identification.

Large Payments
We may request a bank transfer for payments over 1000 euro.

Cancellation Terms and Conditions

For ALL DISCOUNTED TOURS AND SPECIALS, LAST MINUTE etc., there are no refunds, changes or transfers of services possible.

Our Public and Prestigious Tours Services Refund Policy:

More than 15 days : A service booking fee of 20 Euro is charged
Less than 15 days, Is treated as a no-show or non arrival in time for tour departure : this results in 100% of the tour price being charged

Recommended and Conditional Arrival Time for all Tours and Services
You must be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the tour or service departure, if not we reserve the right to cancel your booking without a refund.  Tours must depart promptly in respect of other clients that have arrived on time and in respect of advertised tour scheduling and suppliers services.

Late Arrivals
Are subject to our terms and conditions-there is a 100 % charge, no refunds, cancellations, exchanges, tours and services are non transferable. As above you are recommended to arrive for tours and services 10 minutes before scheduled departure time.   Please allow extra time to calmly find meeting points as travelling in a foreign country can be confusing and we want you to be stress free!

Private Tours and Services Refund Policy:

Cancellations more than 28 days before the service: a booking/service fee of 100 euro will be charged
Less than 28 days, no-show, or non arrival in time for departure: 100% of the tour price

As above; you must be at the meeting point 10 minutes before scheduled departure

Custom Tour and Service Fees with Extensive Planning Refund Policy:
More than 28 days : a booking fee of 300 Euro will be charged
Less than 28 days : 100% charged

Date of Tour Service and Changes:
Tours and services can not be transferred or dates changed

PLEASE NOTE: If requesting a refund 6 months after the booking was made, due to banking regulations we cannot refund you directly onto your credit card.  You will be able to be refunded by bank transfer only and this will incur an additional fee.

General Conditions

The Original and Best Walking Tours is a licensed Tour Operator based in Florence Italy, no . 516411.The Original and Best Walking Tours is not liable in respect of personal injury, loss or damage of luggage by the client, or of death. The company is not responsible for any injury, loss, delay, inconvenience caused by force majeure or other events such as strikes which are beyond our control or which are not preventable by reasonable care by The Original and Best Walking Tours, such as wars, floods, unusually severe weather, acts of god, etc.

Our Responsibility

The Original and Best Walking Tours agrees to provide services on the understanding that you and the persons you reserve for are fit and healthy and accept that in any tour or service some risk is involved. When you book a tour or other service with us you acknowledge our acceptance, that Artviva and The Original and Best Walking Tours , its agents and suppliers, in making arrangements for hotels, tours, transportation or any service in connection with the itineraries of individual tour members shall not be liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity, liability or expense to person or property due to act of default by any hotel, carrier or other company or person providing services included in the tours and transfers or museum or theatre bookings. Artviva and The Original and Best Walking Tours, its agents and suppliers accept no responsibility for any sickness, pilferage, labour disputes, machinery breakdown, government restrains, acts of war and terrorism, weather conditions, defect in any vehicle of transportation or for any misadventure or casualty or any other causes beyond their control. Artviva and The Original and Best Walking Tours reserves the right to cancel, change or substitute any service and to decline to accept or retain any tour members at any time for any reason including, without limitation, insufficient number of participants. All documents/vouchers are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by Artviva and The Original and Best Walking Tours , its agents and suppliers. As required by law The Original and Best Walking Tours has insurance: Unipol No 065032357144

Cancellation by Artviva The Original and Best Walking Tours

All tours, services and prices are subject to change and availability, in the unlikelihood of change, we will endeavour do our best to inform you before hand. We reserve the right to cancel or change any tours without any penalty in case of circumstances beyond our control or for any other reason and when the minimum number of participants, specified in the tour program is not reached, or if the tour is not available on the dates requested. In this case the client will be fully reimbursed for the cost of the services paid with The Original and Best Walking Tours. The Original and Best Walking Tours is not responsible for additional expenses that may be incurred by a client in relation to a cancelled tour, that is flights, hotels etc.

Refunds on any unused services (No Shows): We cannot refund a client for services that are not utilized

Sound Systems

If provided with a sound system for a tour it must be returned in good condition or you will be charged for the loss or damage.

Privacy

We respect your privacy. Our company follows European and Italian privacy laws and standards outlined in INFORMATIVA SULLA TUTELA DELLA PRIVACY (D.L. 196/2003).
When you send us information about yourself you agree that we can use it for our companies purposes however this information will not be shared with third parties in accordance with the above laws.

Recording and Reporting

All rights reserved by our company, services provided to bona fide clients only. Any reporting or recording (video or audio) of tours and or services must have prior written permission from the management.

Bona Fide Clients Only
Identification must be shown by all participants.  We reserve the right to refuse service to any person we consider to be a non bone fide participant. In this case a full refund will be granted.

Refusal of Service
We take the dignity of our profession and services very seriously. We do our best to ensure our customers are well looked after. It is our company policy to refuse service to protect our staff, guides and service providers from abuse, threats and insults. Our company reserves the right to denounce any such behaviour to the Italian police.

Travel Insurance (recommended)

We strongly recommend that you arrange travel insurance for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances or those beyond your control. We recommend medical and personal insurance to cover medical expenses and or loss of baggage or personal belongings, or for any unforseen circumstances. Our company can not be held responsible for lack of travel insurance.

Disputes Governed by Italian Courts

Agreements with The Original and Best Walking Tours are governed by Italian law and in case of dispute; jurisdiction is conferred on Italian courts. In the case of a dispute, notice must be provided in writing within 24 hours of the date of service provided.
