A fascinating introduction to the art and architecture of Venice.
We aren't all art historians, but that doesn't mean that we can't appreciate the art and architecture of this incredible city.
This tour is designed to help the layman understand what the scholars know, without all of that complicated jargon. We'll visit some of the city's most important sights, including the Gothic church San Giovanni and Paolo (known as the Pantheon of Venice) with its enormous stained glass window and the beautiful façade of the Church of the Miracoli.
Highlights: Church of San Giovanni and Paolo, the Doges' tombs, Church of the Miracoli, Marco Polo's house and Corte del Milion
Length of Tour: Four Hours
Includes: Four-hour guided tour in English with your personal guide.
Excludes: Entry fees to monuments and museums are not included in the price of the tour (see details below), optional gratuities
Please bring €2.50 per person for entry to the Church of San Giovanni and Paolo and €3.00 per person for entry to the Church of the Miracoli.
Meeting Point: In St. Mark's Square, to be confirmed upon booking.
Weather: This tour runs rain or shine
Notes: Please dress appropriately, shoulders covered for women, when entering churches.

Plus they know all those great places not on most guidebooks that only a passionate local world know. Dont even contemplate a visit to the Uffizi or Michaelangelos David without one!

Thanks so much for the great walking tour we did in Florence in May. It was fun, informative and we were treated like VIPS! The guide made us feel welcome and got to know exactly what we were interested in seeing to make sure all was covered. If we had tried to do everything we did on the tour on our own, we would have spent days getting hopelessly lost! I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in the art, architecture, history and the culture of Florence.

My husband and I had the good fortune of taking ArtViva tours of Florence while on our honeymoon. We started with the walking tour, followed by the David tour.
