The Best of Florence Shore Excursion is the perfect option for cruisers. We'll help you with sorting out which train to catch, and give you an insightful, and entertaining 3 hour tour of the Renaissance City that won't leave you disappointed. The best value for cruise ship passengers who wish to save some money and skip out on private transportation from Livorno to Florence. Because the distance from Livorno to Florence is about an hour, a private transfer can cost quite a bit. Why not take a train and meet our tour guide at the train station in Florence? From there you will embark on a 3 hour tour of Florence which includes a visit to the Accademia museum where you will see the magnificence of the Original David, sculpted by Michelangelo! The tour ends at 1:00, which will give you plenty of time to head back to the station (our guide can help direct you) for an early train. Or, if you simply can't get enough of the Renaissance city, you also have the option of staying a bit longer for the Masterpieces of the Uffizi tour. Either way, you'll get the most out of this wonderful city with our amazing guides! All you'll be responsible for is getting to the train station in Livorno (a taxi ride of 10 to 30 Euros) and taking the 8:11 train to Florence Santa Maria Novella, ensuring you will arrive at 9:30 to meet the guide. From there, we'll take care of the rest!
We cover all the must-sees: The David by Michelangelo and a short introduction to Florence including visiting the Ponte Vecchio. You then have time to browse the Florence shops and markets or grab a bite to eat at a local trattoria.This tour is great for those with limited time and for those doing cruise ship shore excursions and shore trips from Livorno.
